Now Playing Tracks

I’ve been injured for a couple months now, and I don’t see an end in sight, but my boy made me an entire ghostbusters cosplay so I can bust ghosts with him.
My boy and by best buddy are helping me finish up the secret surprise cosplay I’m working on. That will be up here soon enough Hopefully this hand will be fixed up soon so I can get back to making things.

I made this duct tape jacket for my boyfriend (posing with my mom’s prized pez gun). The trim is glow in the dark.
(There’s another duct tape outfit on the way that I made for myself … It’s a huge project but it’s awesome and secret. Keep an eye out for it. ;p)

aspectconundrum asked:

How did you make your wings for your Castiel & Dave cosplay?

I very loosely followed this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=62jhoXa4ckI
Instead of using body posture I just put rings on the strings and pull on them when I want to extend the wings.
Other things I did differently were that I didn’t make an elbow joint so I just have a M shape and instead of a block of wood I used a sturdy backpack. I zip-tied the frame into the backpack and put grommets in to hide the string inside the backpack a bit, For fabric I used felt.
These wings are super easy and really really strong against being jostled around at a con. People have been really rough on them and the worst that happened is the kite string I used broke.(It rubs on one of the grommets).
